When you see this, post an excerpt from as many random works-in-progress as you can find lying around. Who knows? Maybe inspiration will burst forth and do something, um, inspiration-y. Or maybe someone could kick my arse into gear because at least one of these has to be finished by the end of the year. :/

In my case I have set a personal goal, this auspicious NaNoWriMo, to finish or at the very least make significant progress on at least one of my wips - since, as you'll soon see, starting new things is really not a problem for me. Finishing them, on the other hand... well, that would be why there's not much fic posted to this journal.

If you guys could like, tell me which of these if any is not a total disaster and would be worth continuing on with, that would be lovely. ♥

That's not actually all of them (and ohgod, let's not even get into the topic of my original fic wips, because they are many and full of failure), but it's almost all of them and I'm tired and have work in the morning. So, thoughts? tl;dr?

I finally got off my ass and imported all my lj entries over to dreamwidth. Why then did I title this a post of procrastination, you say? Ah, you see, what I actually should be doing is working on my secret angels fic, which is due... tomorrow.

I didn't make a thread for myself personally since I've only posted one podfic (soon to change, I promise!), but you can find fgproductions 's thread here. Plus you should totally browse around and comment for anybody else you recognize. :)

I have oodles of extra time this quarter due to my accounting class being canceled, so one of my resolutions (along with, get a job that pays more than minimum wage - yeah, that one's not going so well) is to actually do some podficcing. I've been meaning to do this since pi introduced me to the glory of podfic this summer, but I've been sort of stalled due to lack of a good space. I don't want to record in my dorm room, for reasons which, with three non-fannish roommates, should be obvious. But! Seattle U has a 'music room' that anyone can reserve and which is perfect for the job as it is basically just a quiet room in the basement with a door that locks, and you get it completely to yourself for the time you have it reserved. So, yay! That's solved.

My first recording session was from 8-9 pm today. I got about six and a half minutes of podfic out of the experience. >.< To be fair, though, I spent a good chunk of my hour futzing with Audacity in an effort to get it to play nice with my headset. Also cleaning up the music room, because I don't know about you guys, but I find it difficult to embark on a creative endeavor when there is someone's empty take-out box sitting by my elbow. It offends my muse, okay? College students, wtf.

I have the room reserved for two hours tomorrow, and hopefully things should go smoother. This time, I am not forgetting my water bottle.

Apparently S02E02 of Merlin is to be called "The Once and Future Queen."

Okay, so it probably just means Uther's going to marry a troll, as hinted at in the season preview (which... I swear to you I have ACTUALLY READ THAT FIC. No, seriously. I am not making this up.) but still. Let's just say, I have been watching a lot of Queer as Folk lately, and the image of Arthur in a sequin-y dress with tons of sparkly makeup and high heels with rhinestones all over them WILL NOT LEAVE MY BRAIN.
